The innovative 'Flow' decoration system by Wood & Washi is nothing short of genius. No matter whether they are used for anti-glare or privacy purposes, as a room divider or to screen off a work area, Flow Shades can be adapted entirely to meet your individual needs. The panel curtains can be moved up and down independently according to the room layout and light conditions. Decorative stainless steel counterweights mean the panels can be moved effortlessly across the entire width. Wood & Washi Flow Shades are available in minimalist Japanese paper or transparent woven paper in three natural shades - white, black and light grey - with optional stylish edging.
Our Basic fabrics are *B1 certified fire-retardant.
This means that these materials are hardly flammable, as a result of which a fire spreads less quickly. This makes our Basics very suitable for project furnishing (think of fairs and events where strict rules apply to fire safety).
B1 fire retardant is one of the classifications within the German standard DIN 4102, comparable to the European standard EN 13501-1. DIN 4102 has been prepared by the Deutsches Institut für Normung.
Washi (a traditional Japanese product of Japanese Paper) is available in:
All Washi varieties have a thickness of 0.2 mm except the Extra Strong Laminated Washi. The Extra Strong variety has a thickness of 0.3 mm and is not suitable for Rollo shades (because of the extra lamination it is too stiff to roll).
* Laminated Washi Panels have a maximum width of 93cm unless the design (mostly horizontally orientated) can be turned 90 degrees.
Woven Paper is -just like Washi- a traditional Japanese product.
Woven Paper comes in 3 varieties and is very playful and decorative. Woven paper is often combined with other materials, such as Washi (in Panels and Rollos) or in combination with Fields or Flowers (Fields & Flowers only in the Window Decoration system Flow).
Our Basic series are *B1 certified fire-retardant.
Basics are available in:
The basic series are suitable for all Wood & Washi window decoration systems. The variety Dark has a light transmission of 0%; therefore very suitable for bedrooms. The variety Screen keeps the sun outside (comes with an UV-filter) but let the light come in. The variety Look has a slightly glossy surface. The Feel has a more matte surface. For further technical information about the different levels of sun-protection, solar-transmittance and light-absorbance, please kindly contact your local dealer.
